why mediation?
It is easy to get entrenched in litigation without ever taking a step back to see whether there’s another way. It is often much harder to pause and think outside of the box. There is rarely any downside in trying to resolve a dispute in private before committing to the time and cost of going to court.
Mediation with a proactive and engaged mediator is a time and cost effective method of seeing whether a dispute can be resolved, or at the very least, the issues narrowed in a confidential environment.

Any disagreement can quickly escalate to a high pitch of intensity. I have seen all too often how easy it is to write letter after letter and end up locked in a dispute. I have also seen how when time is taken to step back and parties are given the space to reflect and think creatively, solutions can be identified and further conflict can be avoided. Mediation creates the space for parties to speak directly to each other in a confidential environment, explore possible outcomes and reach commercial deals on terms acceptable to the parties. In this way, successful mediation gives control back to parties, gives them the benefit of certainty and enables them to move on without the publicity of a dispute.
